Friendship Reinstated!

It turns out that a quick run of xbps-reconfigure --force linux5.18 fixed my kernel panic issues. Apparently some DKMS modules were out of sync with repository pushes and a quick rebuild after some time put everything in the right place. Thankfully Void Linux’s kernel redundancy let me run my system for long enough to realize that.

If you’re looking for a minimal distribution, Void is in many ways smaller and more optimized than Artix. Void, however, lacks many common packages in its repositories; and although this isn’t a deal breaker for me, it will keep me from recommending it over Artix for most people. Void will probably remain on my system for some time.
